In a little less than a week, I'll be getting on a plane at the start of a 40-hour trip to Lilongwe, Malawi. From there, I'll be meeting up with 19 other Carleton students to travel to Mzuzu for a 3-week course on the Landscapes of Global Health Inequalities. This trip will be the longest time I've been out of Canada, and I'm expecting it to be an adventure, a challenge, and a learning experience. I figured that this blog will be an easy way to keep a lot of people up-to-date on what I'm up to (Hi Mom!). I expect that it will be a challenge to balance writing with doing things worth writing about, so it's possible that my posts will be a bit unpredictable (I may also have to contend with some variable wifi). I'm hoping to make this blog as real as possible so it's a proper representation of my trip. We'll see how that goes.
